Number Fun Parent Portal is a Maths site specifically designed for Parents to use at home. It includes videos, songs, games and activities that cover the breadth of the Primary Maths curriculum. It also includes videos explaining how maths concepts are taught in schools. Maths Fun is being offered free for 30 days during this time.
I See Maths
Gareth Metcalfe (a Primary Maths Consultant) is planning to post 2 videos a week of KS1 Activity Ideas and Games. He is also posting a daily Maths Lesson at 9 a.m. for Years 3/4 and 5/6 for those of you with older children. The first KS1 video will be posted on Tuesday 24th March at 9 a.m. and will be Connect 4 Addition and Subtraction Games.
Rebecca Hanson - Authentic Maths
Rebecca Hanson has made a series of Maths videos which are on her You Tube Channel about Mathematical Concepts and Ideas which are taught in Reception and Year 1. They are quite practical and informative.
White Rose Maths
White Rose Maths have produced 5 Maths lessons for each Year Group for Home Learning. They will be adding 5 lessons each week over the next few weeks. They have included short videos as part of the lessons to explain concepts.
Maths with Mum
A web-site which has lots of Maths Lessons including videos created by a Primary School Teacher. These lessons are organised into topic areas and concepts rather than into Year Groups.
First4Maths have created some Creative at Home Maths Resources which can be downloaded free of charge. There is a pack for EYFS or Reception children, one for Year 1 and one for Year 2.
There are a wide range of Numberblocks episodes on the CBeebies web-site. The children enjoy watching these and they are a great way of reinforcing Maths concepts. There is also a parent guide on helping your child to become epic at Maths.
There are web based and app based games and activities in the Numberjacks series. There are also lots of Numberjacks video episodes for children to reinforce their number skills.
Deepen Understanding have created some Maths resources for Year 1 and Year 2 which are practical rather than worksheet based.
